The Supco is a standard Ni-chrome wire heating element. The heating element works when a switch on the motor turns on it on. Then, it heats the dryer. When the dryer reaches a preset temperature, the element turns off. So if you have a Samsung dryer and it seems like it is not getting hot or is improperly turning off (or not at all), you may need to replace the dryer heater element assembly. This heater assembly part also works for Samsung part numbers WPW1022277, DC97-14486D, DC97-08891A, NW10222771, and 35001119.
